I, the Mortal, wander in ceaseless wonderment - Shrouded in mystery everlasting, O Lord, You reside in thy glorious abode, alone, quiescent. Pervading Space and Time eternal and luminosities inestimable You gaze at me - I behold you and I perceive, All turmoil has died away, the Creation reposes in peace profound; There remain only You, and within You, I, sheltered, serene. -Kausik Datta, April 24, 1999 [The copyright for the original bengali poem is with the Vishwabharathi Publications; Kausik holds the right to this english translation] |
