Transliterated Version of Ami Bohu Basonay Pranponey Chai

Aami bohu basonay pranponey chai, bonchito korey bnachaley morey.
Ey kripa kothore sonchito mor jibon bhorey
Na chahitey tumi ja korechho daan, aakash, aaloke, tonu, mone, pran,
Diney, diney tumi nitechho aamay shey mohadaner joggo korey
Oti ichchar shongkot hotey bnachaye morey.
Aami kokhono ba bhuli kokhono ba choli tomar pother lokhho dhorey
Tumi nishthur sommukh hotey jao jey shorey.
Ejey tabo doya, jani jani hay, nitey chao boley phirao aamay,
Purno koriya labey ey jibon tabo miloneri joggo korey,
Adha ichchar shongkot hotey bnachaye morey!
I yearned for many a desires, with all my life,
You saved me by denying them.
I treasured your cruel mercy, all life long!
That which you gave without me seeking for it:
the sky, the light, the mind, body and soul,
Making me worthy of that great altar, with each passing day,
By saving me from the perils of great desires!
Sometimes I forget, sometimes I trudge along, following your path
Though you cruelly turn away,
Yet I know that this is your cruel mercy,
That you turn me away because you want to accept me
My life in its complete form,
Making it worthy of a union with you
By saving me from the perils of half desires!
